I Could But, I Can’t

I could buy that amazing Carrera hybrid bike from Halfords which would rid me of transport problems and allow me to get some exercise.

I could buy that amazing Microsoft Surface 3 table which would be a great improvement on my brother’s current one which sounds like a washing machine and is more clogged up than an ancient vacuum cleaner.

I could buy a new phone instead of having to deal with a hand me down that has a drained out battery and heats up like a BBQ.

I could spend more money on my family instead of having to squirrel away my earnings in the bank.

I could buy the furniture my bedroom and living room needs instead of having to stare at blank, empty space.

I could help my dad buy a new car to replace the exhausted, rinsed and aged elephant that he currently has to drive around.

But if I do these things, then there is a chance I will have no money to pay for my University fees next year which is something that frightens me. That is the problem with having to save up for fees, you have to constantly think you are utterly broke even if you have a substantial amount saved up for in reality, it will all go the day the fees are due.

Until Next Time

A Worried Student

    • My happiness, dramas of life and experiences? Plus amazing humorous posts of course 😉
They don’t have that option and even if they did, I would not be able to afford it at the moment.
£9,000 a year for 3 years and the current interest-based system is not inline with my religious beliefs which means I have to bear the cost of the fees immediately. A new system is being planned by the government but it just needs to be implemented as soon as possible.

  1. This is exactly my problem and my last year of tuition is due soon. I’ sure I’ll get the statement in the mail any day. I have money to buy things I want and need but I can’t afford it because everything I have is spoken for. If only my parents understood this. They just think I’m cheap. At least I’m in my final year and have successfully avoided a loan so far.

  2. Gee, I feel your pain. I’m paying for my own university and even though it’s a lot less than the other good ones, it’s still a lot more. Universities are becoming money gobblers these days, don’t you think?
Thanks for dropping by my blog!

  3. Sadly true. I daydream of all the things I could buy and then see my work schedule and think to myself … maybe later in life. Oh well. Life goes on 😀
