I have been invited to take part in the Writing Process Blog Tour by The Hashtag Generation. From what I gather, this is not like an award where you give facts about yourself but a post where you describe and answer specific questions about your writing process. So thank you to T#G for this opportunity which is a great blog so please go check it out!
Question Number 1: What are you working on?
If you had asked me this question a week or two ago, I would’ve simply answered my exams. Currently though, I am enjoying my freedom from the intense revision of the past few months and so I am not really working on something specific. Of course there are these blog posts to write and also art to pursue which is a bit of a hobby since as my dad constantly says whenever I ask for him to take me to the shop to buy more tools, “you never took any art course!” Who cares though? Pursue what you want I say.
Question 2: How does your work differ from others in its genre?
This is an interesting question since the genre of my blog really isn’t clear. Whilst I talk about issues that I and other students face, I also discuss any other topic that decides to suddenly occur to me. I guess the versatility of my blog is what makes it different since every post is not about the problems students face but also the everyday happenings of life.
Question 3: Why do you write what you do?
To put a voice to the issue people tend to ignore. There is a tendency to dismiss the issues students face unless you are a student. I have at least three years left in education and I hope once I finish, I would still be speaking and standing up for the problems we as students face.
Question 4: How does you writing process work?
Well I wave a big magic wand, shout ‘HAZAAR’ (favourite new word) and then suddenly the text appears on the screen and voila! I wish. Well I am a phone blogger which means most of my posts are typed on my phone when I am out and about or have a few spare minutes. It also means posts like these and awards take quite a while to do as the phone is quite limited in its features, not to mention its tendency to heat up and randomly shut down. However, if I didn’t have a phone, you would be hearing much less from me.
In terms of the inspiration behind blog posts, it either comes from things I feel strongly about, a conversation, daily occurrences and musings or simply events in my life. No big secret here!
Now this blog tour must continue and so go on, if you are reading this then take this as an invitation to participate. No pressure, no compulsion, just share some details about your blog by answering these few questions 🙂
Have a great day and until next time,
A Worried Student
